I'm a big fan of BC Tacos food truck, so I am well versed in their taco offerings. They're all great, and I especially love the gatherer (fried avocado) or really any of their tacos with the spicy mayo sauce. I have been meaning to get to BC Cafe pretty much since it opened, but I wasn't in a big rush because the truck comes so much closer to me; however, that changed when I saw that they were doing a grilled cheese night! If you follow them on Facebook you will find that the chef here likes to get creative. A few nights a month they will stray from their normal taco offerings and when I saw grilled cheese was coming I knew I had to be there. We arrived on Saturday evening and the girl at the counter welcomed us to grilled cheese night. I chose to order the crab cake grilled cheese and my boyfriend went with the classic american. The grilled cheese came with a choice of tomato bisque or cream of mushroom so we got one of each. They also serve beer and wine, and what grilled cheese and wine sounded like a perfect Saturday night to me. You are given a number and take a seat to wait for you food to be served. I loved my crab cake grilled cheese. The flavors were great, and the avocado and my favorite spicy aioli along were the cheese and crab cake were a great melty combo. My boyfriend was slightly less thrilled with his choice. The American came with cheese, bacon, and tomatoes, and the tomatoes on it were a bit overwhelming, though it may have been his fault for ordering one with tomato as I don't think he really cares for them all that much in general. Once he took them off he loved it. Both soups were good. I thought the tomato bisque had a more vibrant flavor than the mushroom, but I would order either again. I wish BC cafe were closer to my house, but I will definitely make it over more often, especially now that I have followed them on facebook. They are currently taunting me with a mac and cheese night coming up. The staff if very friendly and the prices are pretty reasonable. Our dinner and drinks was around $40, and the portions were pretty large. I saw many people taking half their grilled cheese home, but I don't count calories on weekends so I ate the whole thing shamelessly.

Have had food from here a few times since it's by the colleges in Davie. Every time has always been so good! My favorite taco is the gatherer with fried avocado. yum. Its also a great place to relax and hang out between classes, with recliner seats and tv's to watch. I will be back!

Didn't know about this place until seeing some people on FB taking about it. Would never have even known that it was around, because it is not easily spotted from the street. However, they have pretty good tacos and food. Pleasantly surprised.

Obviously by fact I uploaded multiple pics of food, I LOVE BC Cafe!!! Everyone who works there is mega friendly, polite and great to be around. The food is to die for... Haven't had anything I haven't loved yet! I even had the Yucca Mushroom soup and LOVED it...I'm not a soup eater, this was delish! Of course my fav snack...sweet potato fries and all the taco's I've had are great (see pics) and the waffles and pancakes...YUM (i've had the s'mores, choc chip, banana/nutella.... waiting to make it for the Oreo and also the Reese's!) You need to ck. them out on Facebook & Instagram to see the daily specials on the menu (least that's what I do lol) YUM!! and of conveniently located (just south of University on Griffin on the west side in the Atrium bldg) In short...great food, great people! Luv it!

Sitting here at the cafe waiting for the food. I took advantage of yelp's summer of steak specials. 50% off. hunter tacos. A good deal I thought. However was very disappointed to learn that it only applied to ONE taco. That's kind of tacky and cheap. Of course you have to have limits, maybe 2, 3, or 4 but one? That's cheesy. Groan. Anyway going to eat it now. More later. Ok done. The drive home took 20 minutes and included crawling up two miles of University Drive in hot bumper to bumper. The taco was ok but sadly I don't understand the raves. It tasted only vaguely Mexican, had barely any lettuce and certainly no tomato, cilantro, etc. Yes, I knew it was not included in the menu, but it's such an integral part! Should have at least been offered as an option. The meat looked and tasted like a cross between steak and ground beef - I had read the review citing this and knew what to expect but still disconcerting in person. It was a semi-generous portion of meat but oh my, was it salty! Approach with caution if you (like me) are on a blood pressure med) - I also ordered the spicy salsa and it really was. - a little more than sufficient imo. I also did not see the "all the sauces" other people have mentioned. The restaurant itself is pleasant. Location a bit strange. Counter person friendly. Overall too expensive in my opinion for what you get. It looked tiny and not like $8 worth of food. Am including photo so you can see for yourself. Don't get me wrong, I'm all about supporting local non-chain restaurants, even though it may cost a bit more but the food has to be really good. When I compare this to always-packed Chipotle or Moe's with their Monday Special - you just get more. More food. value for money, fresh vegetables/condiments, salsas, etc. Lastly, given all this, for me, it's too far to justify the gas, cost, and ride time. Sorry.

The next stop of my conquest to taste all the tacos from the Yelp's Food Fight: Taco Edition was BC Cafe. From reading the descriptions on the taco they submitted for the event, its different than your normal tacos from all the other places. Their tacos consist of Fried Avocado with with lettuce, mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo. I personally love avocados so I can't wait to tasted myself. The location of the restaurant is a bit unusual. Its located in an office building of a business park, so the parking lot is empty on weekend. Since the street sigh was a bit difficult to spot, it took me 2 U-turns to finally find the place. So we went to the counter and ordered our $1.00 tacos. It certainly was different from the other tacos we tasted because of the fried avocado, which was cooked nicely. I imagine most fried ingredients would taste greasy if not cooked properly, but they did a good job on the avocados. And I particularly like the chipotie mayo because that little spice changed the flavor profile of the avocados which was very nice. So after our taco specials, we felt since the tacos were pretty good, we wanted try one more of their dish. After going back and forth with different options, we went with their shrimp tacos. And to go with the tacos I also order a nice craft beer. I do see they offer other dishes like salads and burgers, but Its not a bad place for tacos.

Definitely need to up my review as I've slowly fallen in love with BC Cafe between many dinners and now one Sunday brunch! You can read my previous review regarding dinners, but honestly the best thing to do is to follow BC Cafe through social media (I choose Facebook) and keep an eye out for any special dinners they are doing. For example last Saturday was their first grilled cheese night, and often they are doing special bacon taco events, Friday Ramen nights etc... and these are the things that keep me coming back for more. Not that their usual menu isn't superb (who isn't in love with that fried avocado taco) but their willingness to try new things is what really keeps me coming in the door. And it doesn't hurt that the staff is fantastic and on the ball! Ok, so brunch. This used to be a once a month Sunday deal, but they've recently expanded to all Sundays... for good reason...it was packed when I was in there. Usually for dinner there is little to no line to order food...this Sunday it was out the door. And I'm sure the bottomless mimosas for $12 don't hurt either. I didn't go this route on this Sunday but I kept an eye out on those who did and their glasses were definitely refilled in a timely manner. What I really, really love about BC Tacos is their sampler platter. They often let you do a small sample of all of their specials for a cheaper price. It's as though they know my inner fatty can't decide between all their delicious option and this gives me a way to try it all! For brunch we opted to go this route and for $30 we were able to try all 5 brunch specials - on this occasion they were - bananas french toast, a breakfast burger, chicken and waffles, eggs benedict with sausage, crab cake and a fried green tomato and kimchee bulgogi grits. And we decided to get the gatherer (fried avocado taco) to wash it all down. And this was split between two people...so even with "sample" size portions you're still getting a lot of food! As always, the food was delicious and hard to narrow down exactly what was my favorite, although we did spend a frustratingly amount of time trying to scrap every last grit out of the bowl lol. I can't wait to go back... and eager to prepare my liver for a day of unlimited mimosas!

Ate here once after hearing so many great things about the food truck, but I will be coming again. It was tucked into a medical plaza so I missed it the first time but made it during 2 for 1 tacos and 2 for 1 drinks. The tortillas are stuffed and packed full of delicious flavor. They seem to have many specials that rotate. The desserts are equally delicious. I definitely enjoyed the macaroons and cupcakes. I can't wait to try the ramen night and brunch.

First thing that stands out is their friendly service! I have been there twice before this review, first time I liked the service more than the food and the second time- I enjoyed both equally but food was a way better choice..I went with The Fred and The Gatherer. HUGE MUST GET/RECOMMENDATION! I also enjoyed their coconut and raspberry macaroons, plus I had to try the banana bread loaf since I heard good reviews about it and enjoyed that very much as well. The best part that I haven't tried yet but sounds amazing is the Sunday Brunches (every Sunday starting in 2015) with bottomless mimosas and a platter that contains all of these breakfast greats you see in the pictures on Yelp.

Not sure what all the fuss is about. I really thought the food was quite average. Although this restaurant is close to my house, it took yelp's special taco promotion to get me in the door. The $1 taco here is the Gatherer. I thought it was a great concept and it was made with harmonious ingredients. The problem was that like my other taco, the Hunter, was lukewarm. I love avocado and the concept of fried avocado sounded even better, but to me good fried food has to be served hot or else it us just "blah"Even the cheese in the Hunter taco was halfway melted. I thought the meat in the taco was okay, but nothing better than any quality taco chain. I think my family liked their items a bit better than mine. They included an "Encino Man"(Mahi Taco - 9 year old loved it), Pulled Pork Sliders, and a Short Rib Burger. The Short Rib Burger had a nice flavor but it was very "saucy". Like many other reviewers, I thought the tacos and sliders were very small for the price (excluding the $1 special of course). Even with the $1 taco, this semi self service meal for four that really tasted like a fast food meal (and for me was worse than Lime, Chipotle, & my newest obsession, Salsa Fiesta,) that consisted of 3 more small tacos, 2 sliders, a fairly small burger, 1 order of fries , & only 1 drink was over $40. Not really bad for dinner but I don't think anyone would have been full or satisfied except that we had a very late lunch (Cuban food....must be Latin Day!). A dessert of frozen yogurt across the street helped soothe that appetite a bit as well! Curious to try some of the other featured tacos on yelp's "Taco Month" list but I don't know if we will be making a repeat appearance here anytime soon.

This is about the nicest, friendliest restaurant I've been to. I've been before, so I already know how awesome the Gatherer taco is....a fried avocado cheese lettuce packed tortilla (soft or hard, your choice). And last time I got the Encino man shrimp taco and corn chowder soup special. This time I also got the $4 special fried mahi cheese lettuce packed soft taco and the Yelp food fight $1 Gatherer hard taco. The seafood chowder was on special for $3.50. Again, the lady was a sweetie pie, patiently guiding me through my menu angst driven ambivalence. I finally ordered, self served my drink then plopped down on the mooshy creamered coffee colored sofa. Before I knew it, the sweetie pie cashier was setting my food on the coffee table in front of me. Uh....can I get this service at home? Lol Delish, although now I would just get soft tacos, not hard. After I finished eating they let me sit there to wait for my hubby who was down the way in a chiropractic session. She even came back to clear the table, suggesting different desserts. Love!

Ambiance/decor: 4 Food: 2 Service: 2 Decided to try their Ramen Fridays, which I was very surprised it was $15 per bowl! Very expensive it you tried several ramen. Order up at a counter, no one there wait a min or two and lady comes to take order. We sit and wait approx 25 mins for the ramen to come out (which is really long time considering its just ramen). Anyways to my surprise ramen its just regular PASTA! (See picture posted). Broth was just MSG not real pork belly broth. It did not have flavor it just tasted like canned broth with lots of salt. Pork belly itself was the only thing its was good with flavor. Ramen (plain old pasta in this case) no flavor no ramen consistency. In the end, I think it was a total ripoff to spend $15 for a small bowl of ramen when way better places sells them from 10-13 a bowl. Service: I gave them a one because the same person on the counter was the same serving. Nobody else to help or serve. When we needed spoons (none on self serve counter) there was nobody to be found. And they were not busy, maybe 3-4 tables out of the whole place were occupied. Anyways I will have to try other things on their menu and go another day before I can update this review.

Delicious! I had the bulgogi and cheddar grits with an egg sunny side up. Full of flavor. I think it's only a Sunday brunch item. Definitely recommend!

Went here after seeing them on Deco Drive. Ordered a Gatherer taco and a Veggie Burger. The Gatherer taco tasted great with all the sauces they have. The fried avacado had a nice crunch and taste. They'll give you hot sauce, and there's more sauces at a station. Check the hours before coming, they're not open late during the week (Monday to Thursday).

This is a review for the Sunday brunch which is delicious. They offer bottomless mimosas and a great brunch menu. We came with a group so sampled everything and it's all great. It's hard to pick a favorite. Can't wait to come back again!

This place was originally a food truck that I absolutely loved and the restaurant is just as good, except better because it has chairs and A/C! The only down side is that the beers are a tad bit pricey. HOWEVER, if you go on fridays for their all day happy hour the beers are 2-for-1 so it makes it a great value. Also on fridays the tacos are buy 2 get 1 free so its a great place to go on fridays because, letss be real, who doesn't love tacos and beer?!

We were looking for a place that had good breakfast and lunch options on a Friday morning and came across this local gem. There's a lot to love about this place: friendly attentive service, delicious food, good coffee, and a clean inviting dining space.

As most of the yelpers that i've read that have reviewed this place, I'm also very bad at chasing food trucks, but I've heard so much about their bc taco truck that i have been wanting to try their tacos for a long time (me being a taco lover) but i actually never got the chance until yesterday that i found our they actually have a location in a plaza. So i really had my hopes up to try this place and today being their first anniversary party we decided to go and give them a try (we were very excited!!). So as to finding the location it was kind of difficult since there is no big sign to show off the restaurant and they are actually located is the atrium center plaza or building?,the restaurant it self inside was very clean and i love the decor some couches and a bunch of tables some tv's the painting on the wall of their logo, and i love their menu on the wall!! When we came up to the counter the staff was actually amazing (i love a caring staff that loves what they do and believe in what they sell and these people really know what all that is about!!) it actually didn't hurt me like most of the times to leave them a tip haha. As for food we had to start; The hunter taco; steak taco Stone age shrimp; shrimp taco The encimo man ; bull mahi taco And the chips with guacamole and salsa All these tacos when asked them on the hard shell I was actually expecting SOOO much more of these tacos, what really sucked is that it appears like they don't have their own homemade tortillas or shells, they were all a little bit too salty as well as the chips with kinda made me not taste their flavor at all, they were good but not great ( which i thought they would have been because of the price since they run for about $3-5 each taco), continuing on with the guacamole it was disappointment too no flavor and too much cumin(you never serve an old guacamole and that was what mine looked like), i asked for the salsa to be served on the side and mine (mild) arrived after i ate most of the tacos which really sucked, since my waiter forgot all about it and i actually had to stand up and ask for it, and actually the owner was the one who brought it and apologize he seemed very nice, for the price of the tacos we were not completely full so we had to ask for a second round of food. We ordered the mushroom swiss burger, the Fred slider, french fries and the Nutella cheesecake, the swiss burger had no flavor :( it was just like eating a piece of lettuce, the slider was a little bit better the short rib was good, french fries were okay and the cheese cake was awesome!! ( but over priced paying $6 for just a piece). Overall i was expecting to find the first restaurant that actually serve food made with a soul and passion, but they have not gotten to that point yet, i found it to be a little bit over priced for the food serve, i still have faith that they will continue to get better and be that kind of restaurant that just serves food with soul since it seems like they do love that they do!! They were good but not great!!

went in for breakfast on Sunday morning, simple go up to the counter ask for your meal sit and they bring it out. Had the $30 combo plate which had all 5 of their brunch items on 1 plate and it was killer. great small spot in Davie with decent service. Ill be back again and again

Really great tacos! Me and the gf came on a Friday night and ordered every taco (seriously). They have five signature tacos and they were all delicious. In order from best to really good: 1) The Gather-fried avocado and some kind of chipotle mayo 2) Shrimp taco 3) Buffalo mahi- kinda spicy 4)T-Rex-chicken 5) The Hunter- it's says steak but I'd call it ground beef Overall I'd say this is a great place for lunch or a quick bite to eat. Not really the sit down and order kinda place. They also have a nice little beer selection. I think White Rascal might be my new favorite beer! We also had great service. Prices are a little high- $4 per taco. On Tuesdays they have 2 tacos/ chips/soda for $9.99. They also have breakfast items that sound really good.

Tacos are STUFFED. Come here for the tacos not for the burgers. Burgers are too small and left me hungry. I loved the steak tacos. Two of them will have you happy and full.

    (4)
  • Carol R.

The burgers here, to me, are better than the tacos. The stuffed burgers are excellent. My favorites are the smaller "sliders.'' I love the bacon slider and the pulled pork with cole slaw. Add sweet potato fries to your order and you're set. I have tried a few desserts and have not liked any of them. We even came by on a Sunday to try the cronut...did not like them. Stick with the basics!

Coming in for dinner on a Friday night is basically like being 17 again, walking into your friend's house, chilling in their living room (recliners and all), and hanging out while their over zealous step-dad makes you some of his "famous" tacos. And I am really not even exaggerating as I tend to do. When my friends and I came in here, were were the only crowd in the place, so we were free to lounge on the lazy boys and obnoxiously fill the space with loud and vulgar conversation as we shoved tacos and beer down our throats. Sounds like home doesn't it? The only difference is that you are not at home, you are at BC cafe. Duh. And that means that while you still get the luxury of the "not giving a shit" vibe, at BC Cafe you get to order off the bitchin menu of tacos and daily specials instead of throwing together a taco-bell kit or defrosting a frozen burrito. My standard is "the gatherer," which is the same delicious fried avocado taco that you can get on the BC Taco food truck. I've consumed this taco a number of times, probably into the double digits, from the BC Taco truck, so ordering the gatherer at the Cafe was nothing new for me, but I enjoyed it just the same. I also ordered a side of french fries (it was my cheat day don't judge me) and they were super delicious and salty. I couldn't not get my beloved gatherer, however I was awfully tempted by their menu which has some noteworthy additions aside from the menu on their truck. Salads, burgers, wraps, etc. plus beer (served in a chilled glass) and wine which is nice. The food is awesome, the space is clean and inviting, the staff is friendly, and the menu has something for everyone- even the vegan in the group enjoyed it. I totally recommend this place for an inexpensive and relaxed meal.

Who doesn't love tacos?! Having been to the BC taco truck I was pretty excited to try the cafe version. It is located in a obscure shopping/office center and is rather huge inside. The menu has some of the popular items from the truck and some new items I haven't seen before. The two women at the front were very friendly and had a great sense of humor. I decided to go with 3 random tacos on the menu and some chips with salsa. The tacos were all unique and filled with flavor, each having its own style. (I highly recommend the "T-rex" taco) The avocado salsa was more like guacamole which was completely okay with me. I also got to try the hot salsa which was really tasty and unique! My only gripes are I wish they had combos that came with chips and salsa and I wish they got some burritos on that menu! One last thing to add is that they have a in-house baker who makes tons of sweets that looked amazing. Overall, I am happy with my experience with BC cafe! They get tons of points with me for having unique menu items! Check them out and support new local businesses!

Did not think it was anything special. I tried their tacos and burgers and would have to say it is expensive for what it is. $4 for 1 mediocre taco was not worth it. Their sliders and burgers were decent but I would prefer knuckhead burger right across the street.

Good food. A bit pricey but good food and good service. Will probably be back. The blue wrap was great. And tried a couple different tacos. The chips and salsa are a steal at 1$. The salsa is nice and spicy and great flavor

Saw that they were now serving "Cronuts". Someone posted a link on their FB page to let them know the name is trademarked and they now serve "Croughnuts". Very appropriate as they definitely put the "ugh" into the cronut. Very greasy and nowhere near as light and fluffy as it should be. Just my opinion. I have been told on their page that my tastebuds are obviously nonfunctional by one of their adoring fans. Even without functioning tastebuds, I can see that the gutbomb has not risen enough to give the light, flaky layers and I can feel the grease. Damn. I hope I'm not blind and have lost tactile stimulus as well... Listen, this is just me giving my honest review. Sorry if it's not what you want. I got no dog in the fight. I want to find good food. I will keep looking.

Let me start by saying we had heard about the amazing BC Tacos food truck and had not been able to catch up with the moving target. The brick and mortar location is a good idea. I was surprised to find it located in an office building. But let that go for now. The food was amazing. Burger, tacos and fries. We as a group ordered a sampling and thoroughly enjoyed it all.

3rd time here this week probably! Love the customer service. The girl that runs the cashier is so sweet and can recommend you any item depending on your taste. Great tacos and sliders. love the Fred slider. Word of advice add the fried avocado to everything! I've been meaning to make it to their brunch (chicken and waffles) and happy hour which I think includes two beers and tacos. I love that they have different specials each day.

The place is clean and the somme dishes are good & flavorful. The service is very nice. But, the quality of ingredients is pretty poor to be honest. I was expecting quality tacos but the hard shell was just a regular shell from the box. Nothing super interesting about the chicken taco. The "Greek Salad" had Italian dressing from the bottle. The place is clean and cute but overpriced for the quality. I just don't feel the cooks have much passion for what they put out.

I'm a longtime fan of the B.C. Taco Truck, so when I had an errand to run in Davie this weekend I knew where I was going to lunch. I ordered three tacos at $4 a piece. That seemed a bit expensive for a taco to me, but they were all good sized when they were brought out less then 10 minutes later. Only complaint: terrible beer selection. Some local or craft brews would be a welcome addition to the menu. I ordered the Hunter (steak taco, served with lettuce and shredded cheddar cheese), the Encino Man buffalo (mahi taco, served with lettuce, shredded cheddar cheese, avocado and buffalo sauce) and the Gatherer (fried avocado taco, served with lettuce, shredded mozzarella cheese and chipotle mayo). My friend had the loaded baked potato soup and a blackened snappper taco, I had tastes of both and both were good. All were delicious, but the Gatherer is amazing: fried avocado chunks may be the tastiest little nuggets of deliciousness I have ever had the opportunity to put in my mouth. Seeing as the table we had selected faced the desert case (which was getting loaded up with cupcakes for the Cafe's grand opening party to be held later that night) I had to finish up with something sweet. All deserts are made by the baker behind the Munchcakes food truck, and they all looked great. I opted for a s'mores macaroon (complete with little mini marshmellows cooked into the cookies) and it was a perfect couple of bites. All in all a great meal, a bit expensive for lunch but I'll definite go back when I'm in the neighborhood again.

Ok this place Rocks! You get quality food, cool servers and a great laid back atmosphere. This place has a great menu and super awesome specials every day. Main reason I come here! My Brunch today was Shrimp and Grits, so damn good. You gotta check their Facebook page for the new ones everyday. Love this place.

I love the food truck and I love the Cafe! I ate the Korean beef taco, which i wish was a regular taco instead of a special! I also got the Gatherer taco which I already knew that i love! I highly reccommend this taco, it has FRIED AVOCADO. As a lover of anything fried, this place gets my seal of approval. Now if only they would start making fried oreos and then this place would be Heaven! Don't get me wrong though, this is still pretty close to Heaven! I also had their pork slider, which was delicious as well. I took home a couple of cupcakes and macaroons, so let's see how the desserts are! I want to come for Taco Tuesdays.

Some of my friends have been talking about the BC taco truck and how good it was. When I heard they have a restraunt I def wanted to try it out. When I went I decided to get all the tacos they had so I could try them all. It was a good decion I loved all the tacos I got. They were all packed to the brim with fresh ingredients and I couldnt ask anything more. I will be going back for my taco fixes.

Good food but pricey. Went in on a Sunday morning right after opening and got breakfast burger, chicken and waffle sliders (2 sliders) , 2 cromagnuts and 2 waters and spent over 35 dollars. Chicken was really good but I really think it's not worth the high price. Will go back and try dinner and may have more luck. Pretty good though

We've discovered BC Tacos food truck a couple of years ago and have been following them around South Florida ever since. So when they expanded to add a. brick and mortar location, BC Cafe, we couldn't wait to try it out! The BC crew serves up the fan favorites from the truck, as well as burgers, salads, and even breakfast! The cafe itself is funky and fun including a huge mural of their trademark BC Taco caveman. Prices, service and, of course, the food are all spot on every time we dine here.

Being a fan of BC Tacos food truck I couldn't wait to try BC Cafe. All I can say is awesome. Everything is freshly made...even the taco shells and chips. I had the shrimp Caesar wrap and sweet potato fries. The shrimp were seasoned great and cooked perfectly and the fries were super crispy. Yummy! My daughter had the stuffed burger with cheddar onions and bacon in the burger. It was absolutely one of the best burgers I've tasted and the roll was grilled also. My husband had the dinner special, since it was Saturday. Grilled sliced skirt steak. Cooked just right and presented really nice. We also tried the Greek salad which was also presented really nice. The feta was so good and the dressing had feta in it too. Munch cakes desserts were amazing....cupcakes, mini coffee cakes, French macaroons and bread puddings. I thought the prices were fair and we will def be back I've been back a dozen times and they are so professional there . Kat is a sweetheart and always remembers my name. Their breakfast is delicious and the soups are to die for. I had the split pea and grilled cheese and it was fresh and a very good value. I will continue to go and always enjoy my experience there

Great new place to catch a quick bite. My mom read an article about this restaurant in the newspaper so I went with her today to check it out for lunch. I didn't know what to expect, but I was pleasantly surprised. You go in, order your food from the menu that's posted on the wall, pay, they give you a number, and then they bring out your food. They have burgers, tacos, wraps, salads, etc. I got a bacon cheeseburger slider and an order of sweet potato fries. My mom tried out the pork slider and the chips and salsa. At $12 for both of us, I thought the price was fair and our food came out hot and tasty. The atmosphere was pleasant and everyone was very friendly. I would definitely go here again the next time I'm in town for a visit.

ok I am upgrading my review from two stars to 4 stars. The 3rd time was a charm. New girl at the counter, she got the order right, the food came as ordered and was delicious and well cooked. The salad with the addition of a mahi mahi fillet or checken breast is very delicious. The pork sliders are small but full of flavor and a slider is supposed to be small. I did hear some other customer complain about the size of the breakfast taco not being big enough but I don't do breakfast so I can not comment. DInner and lunch sem to be on track and I will go back again to this cafe.

I brought the boys here to meet Alma H. It is set back from the road off of University Drive, just south of Griffin, on the right as you drive south. Don't be fooled. It doesn't seem like it would be in the plaza that it is in, but it's there. It was pretty empty when we arrived. We ordered our food and went to sit down because they bring the order out to you. I ordered the black bean soup, "T-Rex" taco, and the NY style cheesecake taco. The black bean soup was delicious. It wasn't over-salted, but just right. I had to take it home to finish it. The "T-Rex" taco was excellent. I chose the chicken and hardshell. It consisted of grilled chicken, cheddar cheese, lettuce, and spicy salsa on the side. The chicken was surprisingly savory. I didn't really expect much, but I'm glad I chose it. The dessert taco was a NY style cheesecake, topped with strawberries, in a graham cracker crusted tortilla. Wow, it was delicious. It is definitely NOT good for anyone on a diet! It was clean. The staff was professional and friendly. I don't really have any complaints. The prices are a bit high for tacos, but I'm not really surprised at the price of anything these days. It was quite a drive to get down here, but it was worth the trip. I also prefer to support local businesses over gargantuan chains any day. Check them out if you're in the area!

Good service, food, atmosphere, and price. Had a burger which had good flavor. A bit thinner than I like my burgers but ordered MR and though it wasn't pink but it was pretty juicy. The fried pickle was a nice touch. Sweet potato fries were good too. I recommend it for a quick lunch. I'll have to try their tacos next time!

We went here tonight because we were intrigued by the menu for tonight's Taco Night specials - Beef cheeks with polenta and a broccoli rabe puree. Bacon taco shell filled with scallops, arugula and gremolata. Beef filet with onion jam and brie and boursin cheeses. Duck l'orange with sweet potato puree, orange segments, green bean almondine and puffed rice. Having tasted the food, I recommend they stick to a menu that reflects the spirit of their environment and brand. They are not a fine dining restaurant and if they were, they'd need to 1) Tighten up the dishes: Ultimately the description of the food had us excited to eat a terrific meal but instead we spent $30 for 4 tacos that were all near misses. The beef filet was a filet to the extent it didn't have bones but it wasn't a filet cut. The scallops must have been heated on a baking sheet before being cut in fourths because they were white and tasteless, as was the greasy bacon taco shell. The baba ganouj was a weird and messy addition. The beef cheek meat was soft, rich, and sweet but the puree was bright green and tasteless, as was the polenta - it only provided texture. The puffed rice for the duck was placed on the beef cheeks (see the pic?). The duck had celery leaves on it, which was an odd combination but at least we could see/taste them, as opposed to the wisp of sweet potato mash that wasn't represented in each bite, and the tough green beans. The chips and salsa were useless. We had hoped that they would have been brought quickly but with the lack of servers they came out with the meal. The chips tasted like they were straight from a bargain priced bag - and oversalted. The salsa was just ok. Each taco was messy to eat. Next time, if we want tacos we'll go to a Mexican restaurant with solid history of serving us great food and when we want high end food combinations we'll go to a bistro that has perfected these types of dishes. 2) Better staff their business: There was one counter person to ring up an ongoing line of customers. There was one runner who also bused tables (a little blond haired boy who was about 8 also bused tables). I guess they didn't anticipate the big turn out tonight. We placed our plastic number on the table and waited for our food. It took a while because the restaurant filled up and there was only that one guy delivering food. Each taco had several ingredients and most people ordered a few items so it really congested the service - and likely slowed the tables from turning over. 3) Improve their signage: To their credit, they have their name on a small blue sign that is partially covered by sprawling bougainvilla, a hard to read font on the window of their business and on a sign in the grass of the strip mall (they used the same hard to read font and a graphic whereas all the other businesses listed their names in an easy to read font. When you're driving past you don't see their name.) Can BC Cafe be a hit? Yes. But not if they run things as they are currently (if they don't pay the little boy who buses the tables, are they absolved of child labor laws?) Seriously, if they want to have a successful business they should hire adults and an ample number of them, and offer a menu that they can do well, that represents their brand.

We made two visits within one week. That's how good it is! First time was to finally try it out. While there, we saw that it was Taco Night the following Saturday, so we just HAD to come back. From those two visits, I've already tried just about every taco. They're all amazing! You're also able to make the sliders a taco. If I had to choose favorites, it would be the shrimp, the short rib, and the pulled pork. At Taco Night, they had pork, calamari, ruben, ropa vieja, and a strawberry cheesecake dessert one. So hard to choose, but luckily they had a sampler offer: half size taco of each. Bingo. From those, my favorite was the griot, so I ordered a full size. Both times, I received great, friendly service at the counter. No rushing, no pushing. Patience and passion about the food. Love it. I'll have to try their burgers next time. If it's anywhere close to the tacos, I'm sure I'll love those too.

Met up with some friends for brunch and had an amazing time. The service was prompt as well as polite. We were greeted as soon as we entered. The employees were patient and understanding as they explained the menu to us. I promise to return soon and get their names correct to give them recognition. We never had to ask for refills. The location is a little difficult to find two friends confessed having to drive around in circles looking for the address but found the location eventually. The food was amazing and that's not the mimosas talking!

Found this place while searching tacos on Yelp! I thought it was taking me to a food truck stop since that is where BC tacos originated. I was thrilled to find out they had a restaurant. Although, I think the restaurant is very exaggeratedly large for them but well maybe I don't know what their lunch rush hour looks like. But dinner time was just my boyfriend and I with about 30 open booths. We felt so awkward we left and ate outside. The employees were cleaning and we honestly felt like a bother. So anyways, their tacos are a tad bit expensive and not exactly all that great.

Man, I already loved these guys... But what they did for me last weekend really put it over the top. I had a vegan friend in town last Sunday. Ahead of time, I messaged BC on Facebook asking about vegan options for their brunch. Not only did we have amazing vegan friendly kimchi grits and waffles, but the entire staff helped me keep the order a surprise! My friend's mind was blown and so was mine. I'm not a vegan. I'm a sucker for dairy. With this brunch though, I didn't miss anything. The food was incredible and the fact that BC would go out of their way specially to make vegan waffle batter was the most touching thing ever. I love this place. If you're a vegan looking at the menu thinking "nothing here applies to my diet," just ask. Their staff is sweet, accommodating, caring -- they want to make you happy and you feel that when you eat here!

Super great tacos and family owned business. Came with my husband on Saturday night before they closed to get take out. In a really weird shopping plaza it's a medical plaza and BC Cafe is in an Atrium Building. The girl working the counter is the sister of the owner and her father cooks some of the foods too. She explained how they have a Sunday brunch twice a month, and specials like noodle night, burger night, or the night I showed up Taco night! She also mentioned they are really busy with events catering parties. The taco night specials written on the board, the tacos aren't large size, they are smaller. And so we ordered sweet potato fries, and the 'Freddie' short rib slider, and the Gatherer deep fried avocado Taco. The taco specials were (all tacos small sized and 18$ ) : -Falafel Taco ; tomato, cucumber, tzatziki, and baba ganoush. Really flavourful but there was one falafel ball (dried up not so good), that's what small means.. - Fried Chicken and Waffle ; Buttermilk fried chicken and waffle with cheddar cheese. This was really yummm. Too bad it's not on the regular menu! The fried chicken was one of the best I've had, crispy perfect , yeah that good. -Beef Bulgogi Taco ; Kimchi pancake, pickled cucumbers. I thought this was a winner when I read it on the board..yes I was right. The Kimchi pancake is Savoury and sweet, a softer-spongy bite than a regular taco. The beef so tender to go with it and the pickled cucumbers a bit of crunch this was a unique perfect out of the box taco, incredible. - Scallop Taco ; wasabi pea risotto with charred scallion and chilli vinegrette. Yes another winner!! Too bad just one tender perfectly cooked scallop. The risotto was good to not too much wasabi and I love peas. In a taco it keeps the flavours together. - Banana Creme pie taco ; cut up banana, caramel, and Creme. Nothing special it tasted good. I guess anything in a tortilla is called a taco The sweet potato fries here are nice portion and killer. The Short Rib slider is simple with tender melt in your mouth short rib, shredded iceberg on a bun. The Gatherer was the fried avocado with a sauce. The avocado is crispy warm, and kind of meaty. It's yummy my man liked this one a lot . We also picked up a cookie from the display of many sweet treats they are made by an outside company Munchcakes . It was a good cookie, but there were very few chocolate chips. BC Taco a tasty alternative to your standard taco. Fresh ingredients, 'Mom and Pop' store, this place is worth a trip back. Thank you BC for the taco experience.

Great little place for brunch! They had some great options. I went with the chicken and waffle sliders, so yummy! Just a little heat in the syrup that was perfect. Good thing they had a sink by the soda fountain to wash up after the sticky meal! I loved that they offered a sampler plate of all the entrees, I'm usually so indecisive so that was a plus. Unlimited mimosas and belinnis, perfect. Just wish they keep them coming quicker.

I read so many reviews about how amazing the fried avocados are in the "Gatherer" taco I had to try them myself. However, being the huge carnivore that I am, I couldn't eat a meal without protein. Luckily the girl behind the counter had a great solution - order a taco with protein and add the fried avocados to it. Pure Genius! So, I had the "Hunter" taco on a hard shell which comes with ground steak and had the fried avocados on top. The resulting unholy union (Hunter/Gatherer Taco?) was pure savory bliss. The avocados were warm, buttery, crunchy and dare I say more delicious than the meat. This is one of the better tex-mex style tacos I have had hands down. The mushroom Swiss burger looks pretty unassuming but once you bite into it you get a huge surprise as the cheese and mushrooms are inside the burger. If it wasn't for the fact that this burger was pretty well done and I asked for medium rare, I would probably give BC a fifth star. In fact the burger was so overcooked that the cheese inside was near boiling and I had to wait for it to cool down to finish the burger. Despite this, it was still actually pretty tasty. The kaiser roll was excellent and perfectly crispy. I would be tempted to try this again at the right temperature. I also have had the house salad here with chicken and it is actually very good if you want to stay healthy. On Mondays protein is only $1 extra for salads and chicken is actually free. Overall, what a great find thanks to Yelp. I'll be back for lunch again for sure.

New to the area and my family and I have been trying the different eateries in the area. Decided to try BC on Friday (Ramen Night) I must say that my first BC experience was amazing!!! Tried 2 different ramen dishes and the shrimp, chicken, beef tacos, and the cheddar burger. EVERYTHING we order was delicious. Great family atmosphere with an attentive wait staff, which we have noticed is not the norm since moving to South Florida. We will be back for more.

Meh, not bad. I think I'll have to try them for lunch, breakfast was just....,breakfast. I will say that "Cat" was extremely helpful and friendly. It's a very roomy restaurant with a few couches. I went with the breakfast taco which was good accompanied with some strawberry quik & marshmallow pancakes (meh) not impressed. Overall not horrible but probably skip breakfast and catch them for lunch

After reading all the reviews, I was very excited to try BC Cafe. I was expecting to find my new favorite local spot. The first night we went, it was Ramen noodle night (Friday, I think?), and I decided to be wild and try it out. It was not what I had expected (I have never had REAL ramen before), and I just didn't like it. Maybe a true ramen connoisseur would think it fantastic, who knows. The ramen was pretty expensive too, $13-14 if I remember correctly! We decided to give it another shot. This time, I tried two sliders, the pulled pork and the bacon cheeseburger. The pulled pork had very little flavor, and the bacon cheeseburger was just alright. I also feel like the food is pricey for what it is.

Here we go... Location: BC Cafe is in a small, quiet plaza and can be easily overlooked. Once you get inside the restaurant you'll be surprised by how large it is. There are about 16 tables and a few couches. Not sure if they have "events" have here, but if they did this would be a fun place to hangout at. Service: the young lady who took my order was very friendly and polite. She offered some nice suggestions when ordering and checked up on me once I got my food. Thanks! Food: I had a restaurant.com coupon (which is how I found this place) so in had to spend a certain amount to redeem it. I ordered a few tacos and a slider. The Encino Man Taco (buffalo fish taco) - I ordered two of these guys, one hard and one soft. They were pretty good, but I'm not sure if I would order them again though. They were a little salty and I'm not sure if that's because of the buffalo sauce or seasoning. The Gatherer Taco (vegetarian) - this was my favorite! It's a fried avocado taco with cheese and chipotle mayo. I would come back just for a few is these bad boys! The fried avocado pieces were crunchy on the outside and just soft enough on the inside to not be mushy. The Fred (braised beef short rib slider) - another tasty recommendation. A little more sauce or something would have been nice, but still tasty! Only two complaints: 1. All the tacos were slightly salty, especially the fish tacos. Hopefully it's an isolated incident. 2. This is pretty much a taco place. In my opinion, a "trendy taco place" should have house-made tortillas. I'm pretty sure the hard and soft tortillas came straight from the grocery store. If you've ever had fresh tortillas you would understand. It makes a world of difference. Overall... Yeah, I would come back again... There's about 10 other things I need to try! Oh... They also have a fun desert selection... Cupcakes, fun cookies, macaroons, and banana-bread-type of breads. - update: ended up grabbing a pecan potato chip cookie on the way out. Amazing!

At long last, I finally convinced my bf to go. Weirdly located in an office plaza... Thankfully we had read other reviews with tips on how to find it. Arrived around 7:30 on Saturday night and there were some customers but the place was not full by any means. First thing I noticed was the couches and TV. Gives you that Friends Central Perk feel. Thankfully no one else was in line because it took us forever to decide what we wanted. The cashier was very helpful and patient. In the end I got the sampler which has a half portion of each of the taco night features. I checked in on yelp and got the fried avocado taco for $1. Bf got the bacon cheddar onion stuffed burger, steak taco, fries, chips/guacamole. Even though this was a casual dining establishment I still gave a 20% tip because the cashier was so nice. It took a little while for our food to come out but after all we did basically order the entire menu. Here are a couple of observations: -the presentation of the taco sampler was impressive. Each one was like a tiny masterpiece. Sadly the presentation was probably the best part. They were not memorable tasting. -the tortillas did not taste homemade. You could see the char marks from where they were probably heated up on a gas burner but I found the texture to be thick and dense like the kind you get from the grocery store. -I was also hoping the tortilla chips would be thin, crisp and light but they were not. I actually prefer the ones from Chilis which are at least fried fresh before they are served. The guacamole was good, a little more oniony than I would have liked. -bf said the burger was just okay. -the steak taco was nothing special. It looks and tastes like regular ground beef (not chunks of steak or anything like that) with better seasoning than what you'd get from a packet of an Old El Paso at home taco kit -the fries were undercooked -the fried avocado was the best, most memorable thing we ate. It was really, really good. I only wish the tortilla tasted more homemade. The cashier/waitress was walking around and checking up on other diners but not us. We had to go back to the register to ask for a box. That was disappointing considering I actually gave a tip when most people would not. I'm not sure if we will go back... I would try something besides the tacos, maybe breakfast.

Hidden gem in DAVIE for brunch! Bottomless mimosas and bellinis. Tacos, brunch, and sweet treats to start your day! Thumbs up!!!! Great vibe! Had the Korean beef Bulgogi over Kimchee grits and loved every bite!

I went here for lunch and had the tomato apple bisque, which was a nice twist to the original. The short rib quesadilla was decent and the meat was tender but not too much my liking. My boyfriend ate it all up though, so I guess it's just differences in taste buds. I followed my sweet tooth and tried the macaroons, which were quite yummy. I tired the citrus and passion fruit one, which had a delicious, creamy center. Definitely try their desserts, they all looked tasty! I ordered coffee which tasted a little bitter & had to add a few packets of sugar to it. The lady at the counter was very nice and helpful. Overall, I would definitely give this place another try, I've been eyeing their seafood ramen.

We only stopped in BC cafe for a quick breakfast since it was in the shopping plaza we had to visit last week. I was super impressed. The breakfast tacos were made to order with eggs, vegetables or meat, and cheese. There is an option to get the breakfast made on a biscuit or burrito or even between pancakes, but I wanted to try what they do best. I understand they are a food truck. When I mentioned I wish I was closer so I could go more often, they said they go all over. Not to Jacksonville though. I also used my check in coupon to get the gatherer taco to go. This was such a treat, with fried avocado with cheese, lettuce and a delicate sauce. Way to go offering more unique vegetarian options. The bakery case also made my day.

Love the atmosphere. The menu options are great. There are so many things my husband and I want to try. We will be coming back for all those special nights. Noodle, grilled cheese, and Mac and cheese night?!?!!!! I'm in! We had the tacos this time. All were so great! Yummmm!

Great food at a great price. We had a catering order for a club event at NSU-COM, and the owner, Brett, is super easy to work with, and you can submit orders via email to him ( bctacos@yahoo.com ). We bought 50 sliders, for $3 each, and he threw in chips and salsa. We got 4 different options: beef with bacon, pulled pork, fried avocado, and jack fruit vieja ropa (a vegetarian raved about this one and claimed it was the best fake meat option he's had in Florida). I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants to get good food. I would say 2 sliders is more than enough food for the average person, since the portions are hefty. We also put in our order a day in advance for anyone who wants to go this route. I'm very happy with my order and I will come back for sure.

I decided to try this place based on the Yelp reviews. Did it disappoint? Absoutely not! I ordered three tacos (all different varieties) and a side of fries. It took them about 10 minutes to prepare my food which was about right. There were only a couple of other customers in the restaurant although being a Saturday afternoon and raining, I can understand why it wasn't crowded. The tacos were excellent and I really liked how they gave me a lot of fries. Sometimes restaurants will skimp on the food when you order carry out and this definitely was not the case here. The only complaints thatI have are that the tacos are a little too expensive and the girl who works the register is clueless and rude. She made a couple of comments that were inappropriate. $4 for an average sized taco is a little too much to afford on a regular basis. Even though I liked the food, it could easily be $10-$15 per meal depending on side orders, drinks, etc. If the price of the tacos were around $2, I would probably eat here a lot more often. I did have a coupon which helped out with the price, though. All in all, I enjoyed the food and the friendliness of the employee; however, the cost of the tacos is a little too much to keep going back regularly.

I've been wanting to try BC Cafe for a really long time. I'm really bad at following food trucks so I was more than thrilled when I found out that they were opening a brick and mortar location that was 10 minutes away from my house. I headed over there on a Saturday afternoon and entered into a very clean establishment with 2 large TV's on the far left wall with some couches and lounge chairs. I thought it was pretty cool that they had that in there so that people could catch a game while they devoured some tacos. I headed over to the counter and was greeted by a pleasant young lady who proceeded to tell me about the menu. They also had some tasty looking specials that day which was a mac & cheese bowl and some sort of pulled pork special. Since I came there for tacos, I decided to stick with that since that was what I heard rave reviews about. I decided on the T-Rex taco and the Fred slider. According to the young lady, these were the two most popular items on the menu so I figured I couldn't go wrong. It took a little longer than I anticipated for the food to come out. I ordered 2 items so I didn't expect it to take 10-15 minutes. There was a family of four and myself in the restaurant so they weren't swamped at all so I wasn't necessarily happy with the time frame to get my food. Overall, I will say the two items were okay. They weren't bad. They just weren't great. The chicken in the taco was seasoned very well and it was tasty but nothing to write home about. The slider was a little bland and you had to put it together yourself by adding the lettuce. I would have preferred it came out already constructed to eliminate me having a messy slider. Unfortunately, most of the pulled pork ending up oozing out on the other side once I bit into the slider so I had to eat the rest of it with a fork. I don't feel like I got my money's worth as I was still hungry after having the two items. If they can start offering meals where you can choose 3 items to mix and match sliders with tacos for a set price, that would be a much better option for customers. I paid $4 for the taco and $3 for the slider. Perhaps a meal offer for $8-9 bucks would have left me more satisfied being that I would have had 3 items and paid a decent price. I may give them another try and go with one of their specials rather than their regular menu items. I didn't understand what all the hype was about. Maybe I made the wrong choices or maybe they were having an off day. Either way, I won't write them off completely but it's going to take a while before I head over to BC Cafe again. I'll continue on my quest for tasty tacos. I'm 0 for 2 right now but I'm hoping that the third time is the charm.

Let me start by saying: this place is spotless! I finally got a chance to make it to BC Cafe, which has set up shop in Davie for about a year now. You might know them from the awesome food truck - but the cavemen now have a brick and mortar which sells a lot more than tacos! I of course went with the tacos for my first go around and was not disappointed. I should of gone with the featured burrito (don't remember what it was, but remember my regret when I saw it on the menu on our way out.) That's not to say what I got was bad - it was actually delicious - but the burrito seemed like it would of been killer. We started with the clubs - which are Asian style ribs. They practically melted off the bone! DELICIOUS! The sauce was sweet and thick. Great starter! Then I got 2 Hunters (steak tacos). They come with lettuce and cheese. A TON OF CHEESE. I love a cheesy taco so I was glad when they arrived and were covered in a more than generous layer of shredded cheddar. The meat was seasoned perfectly and it was ground steak (I was expecting steak chunks, but this was perfect!) I thought they were just going to have tacos but when my wife pointed out...it's BC CAFE not BC TACOS I had a "duh" moment. They have burgers, salads, wraps and sides like fries and chips & salsa. We also grabbed some dessert in the form of macaroons. Unfortunately this is why I dropped a star. The macaroons were not good at all. We tried 6 flavors - and not one of them was good - some even tasted a little stale. I won't blame BC as they outsource their desserts and the owner mentioned they were getting a new dessert supplier in the upcoming months. I'll try them out next time I come back for some tacos (or a burger) - because lets face it - I will be back!

Had to come back and update this...after eating here a few more times, I thought to ask if the tacos were fried separately from other fried foods. Turns out it's not and being gluten sensitive this is not good for me. I can still eat the salads but I will no longer be eating the taco due to contamination.

I like the idea of this place so much, but there are some flaws. My husband and I had never been here before so we wanted to try a few things. We ordered the pork belly and oxtail ramen ($15), pulled pork slider, bacon cheese burger slider, short rib slider ($3.50 each), sweet potato fries, a gatherer taco ( $1 with yelp check-in) and 2 glasses of wine. The bill came to $48 and it totally was not with it. The ramen and fries were pretty good. The taco was fabulous with those deep fried pieces of avocado! As for the sliders, the only one worth mentioning is the short rib slider. It was very tasty. The cheeseburger was okay and the pulled pork was terrible. It was way too salty and the pork did not taste fresh at all. Pretty disappointing. All in all, I would not return to this establishment. There were some things that were good, but the prices are insane. Casual dining prices for a fast food experience.

I love this place. I first ate the the food truck many times before the opening of this cafe, and they are both amazing! Great people, great food, I love eating here.

I've been wanting to try BC Cafe for a while, but every time I tried to stop by, they were closed. Finally I was able to make it during operating hours, and I wanted to try the tacos I have heard so much about. I got a Gatherer (which is a fried avocado taco) and a Hunter, which is on the menu as a "steak" taco. At $4 a taco I thought it was pretty pricey, but I figured maybe the portion size would make up for the price. It didn't. When my food arrived, I was disappointed with the size, and my "steak" taco was actually a ground beef taco. I was expecting slices of steak, but instead it had overly-salty ground beef =/ And this $4 taco only had lettuce and cheese - no tomatoes, no sour cream, no guac, no anything that would make it worth the price. Overall my lunch was meh. Sorry BC, maybe your truck is better than your cafe?

I am a fan! Everything from Sunday brunch to taco take out has been delish and service has been wonderful. Sunday brunch can get a little crowded so the closer you go to opening the better. They really seem to take pride in their food and the flavors. As another reviewer commented it would be nice if they stepped up their coffee selection. However, if you have never been before or it's been awhile it is definitely worth a stop and revisit. PS: There banana foster french toast is now in my top five of all french toast I have ever had! :)

Came back to BC Cafe with a friend. My friend was impressed by the place and kept wondering why I had never brought him into this place! We had the Chicken and Waffle Sliders, which were awesome!! We also had the Steakhouse Eggs Benedict and they were divine!! This new addition to the menu in great!! Another more reason why I keep coming back to BC Cafe! Great food and amazing customer service!!

Really not that great. The burger I got was mediocre and my gf got 3 different tacos . Her tacos could have been made at home fore less than 8 dollars. Pico de gallo was like cut up tomatoes and the chicken was tough. Cheese was store bought processed cheese. I did want to mention we came on a Friday which they serve ramen. I didn't try it because I don't usually order Asian food at a Mexican place (or whatever this is)

Ok Yelpers I am so disappointed in you! I read the great reviews and really wanted to love this place. I was craving a good Mexican breakfast place this is a Gringo taco place. I ordered 2 tacos and an iced tea it was about $10.50 so I'm hoping for pretty amazing and big tacos. I'm thinking great salsa, cilantro, beans, egg, bacon & cheese. My tacos were small egg, a little bacon, shredded cheese and some pico that was supposed to be spicy salsa (I was asked mild or hot salsa) but was mostly just tomatoes. Basically I could have made this at home for about $1.50. The location is odd but I found it. I think the restaurant itself was cute & when I first walked in I was excited to eat there. The girl at the counter was very nice. I'm just disappointed with the food being called Mexican.

Been wanting to come here for the longest time, especially for Sunday brunch, and finally did! If you were wondering why it sounds familiar, yes, this establishment is based on the BC Cafe food truck, which still makes its way to food truck events so it's nice to see their business booming from both. We came to try the entire Sunday brunch menu, but instead of ordering all 5 items separately, there is an option to order The Sampler in which you get to try half of all the brunch items for only $30. For two people, the price and portions were perfect! Our plates included the following: 1. Chicken & Waffle Sliders: generously drizzled in cayenne maple syrup, I liked how the chicken was not dry and the waffle wasn't very soggy when it came out. 2. Breakfast Burger: burger with bacon, fried egg, cheddar, and sweet potato pancake buns, it sounds like a hangover cure and for sure this flavor-packed burger will give you a good feeling of "the itis" (they also have couches so feel free to lounge and take a quick snooze post-meal hahahaha). 3. Korean Beef Bulgogi Grits: I love grits, and just the grits itself tasted good but also accompanied well with the kimchee, bulgogi (sadly was not enough but hey, it's called a sampler for a reason), and fried egg (sunny side up so yes you get to poke the yolk). I'd actually come back to order this dish as a whole. #grits4lyf 4. Bananas Foster French Toast: don't be fooled by the most bland-looking food item on the plate; topped by two banana pieces and maple syrup with no powdered sugar like on most French toasts, this one is actually quite enjoyable and the banana flavor is surely present (definitely not a hint or an essence of banana) and this was worth every bite. 5. Cajun Eggs Benedict: never had EB with hot sauce before until this one (hot sauce served on the side) and this was also another favorite that I may order as a whole; the Tabasco hollandaise sauce was pretty delicious and the crab cake was good but together with the egg and sauce and fried green tomato, it's better. Yeah it's one of those where you can't eat the ingredients separately, it's better to have everything in each bite. The only downside to ordering The Sampler is the wait. I've seen tables who ordered off the regular menu get their food before us; The Sampler is a popular dish and we were not the only ones to get it so you have been warned! (They are cooking 5 separate dishes for you so it makes sense) Tempted to also grab mimosas, and I'd like to note that bottomless was only $12, but we were going to the Yelp Peace & Love Boat event later that evening so we wanted to save the booze for later. Next time I'd want to try their burgers and perhaps come during one of their events. Also to note, they have Taco Tuesday deals and Ramen nights on Fridays. Always something in store every day! Care for dessert?? They have French macarons, an array of cupcakes, chocolates, brownies, and other pastries. For sure I'm coming back for more!

Love that this place is hidden and quiet. You don't feel rushed. The sweetheart that helped us was very nice and attentive. The place is very clean and the omelette that I had was delicious.

Went here right after picking up our car. It was the closest and the strawberry taco had me enthused. I got two taco hunters, chips, salsa, and a small fountain drink for 9$. I thought they were expensive but once I saw them, full of beef cheese lettuce and with the sauce and some lime, perfect. My wife got a salad added shrimp, avocado & steak. It was dirt cheap compared to RI and their cost for that stuff. Would definitely come back here again. 5*

Mexican Cuisine

If you enjoy Taco Tuesday, then you have officially fallen in love with the Mexican Food. The main grain of Mexican cuisine is maize. Also known as corn, maize is grown for the past 9000 years after the crop was discovered by the people in Mayan civilization. Mexican empire flourished when they started growing beans, tomatoes, chili pepper, sweet potato and cactus. Till this date these ingredients are used in cooking authentic Mexican dishes and drinks.

Great use of spices, fresh chili pepper dishes like fajitas, tortilla chips, corn chips, salsa, chimichangas, burritos, nachos and quesadillas are invented in America. But when you are looking for authentic Mexican food then you must find a restaurant in the city that serves Rajas con Queso, Garbanzo in a Guajillo Chile Sauce, Pork Filled Chiles Rellenos, Chiles en Nogada, Molcajete Salsa, Pico de Gallo and Frijoles de la Olla. An eye-opening fact – Mexican don't like their food hot. They use fresh chili and other spices to create a flavor that lingers in your mouth.

Mexican food is great for those who are Gluten Intolerant as they use Corn instead of wheat in most of their dishes. Also, you can easily find many beans based Mexican dishes. Another dish which didn't get similar glory as tacos or nachos is the Mexican hot chocolate. If you love something hot on a chilly day, then go for Mexican Hot Chocolate. On merry days, you can enjoy the authentic Mexican Drinks like Tequila, Mezcal, Tecuí, Sotol, Bacanora, Charanda, Posh O Pox, Puebla and Pulque. Mexican Cuisine is for people who enjoy strong drinks and hearty meals.
